Macys, the company behind the Macys collection of fragrances, is seeing sales increase for millennials.
The perfume sale site says that for women between 18 and 29, Macys’ sales jumped 3% last quarter, and the company says it expects that trend to continue this year.
That’s a sign that, while Macys isn’t going anywhere, millennials are moving on to other brands that might suit their taste, said Tim McBride, CEO of Macys Beauty and Fragrance.
McBride said Macys is working with beauty brands like MAC, Too Faced, and Benefit to create new lines that will appeal to younger consumers.
“It’s not just Macys fragrance that’s trending, it’s our fragrance, too,” McBride said.
“We want to make sure our product lines, our fragrant scents, are appealing to a younger generation.”
